Review the newly released Missoula County Pathways and Trails Masterplan - Final

Our Mission

Group of kids riding bikes on Bonner to Turah Trail

Missoula County Parks, Trails, and Open Lands (PTOL) manages 91 parks and more than 40 miles of shared-use paths and trails. Our mission is to provide and maintain a sustainable system of parks and trails that protects a diversity of habitats and open space, where people of all ages may participate in activities blending passive and active outdoor recreation.

Partnerships

Our partnerships are vital to the success of the Program. Partnerships with local communities, neighborhood groups, service and non-profit organizations help maintain the current system. Partners also promote opportunities for developing new recreation opportunities. The County Parks and Trails Advisory Board assists these groups with funding through its Capital Matching Grants, and its noxious weed partnership program with the Missoula County Weed District.
