Below are links to calendars for the five District Court Judges and two Standing Masters.  To view a calendar, simply click on the judge's name.  The page will open in a new window.  

NOTE: The hearings on this website are only for the Missoula County District Court proceedings and are subject to change.  The final calendar for a judge's Law & Motion day, along with hearings through Friday of the following week, will be posted by 2 p.m. on the day preceding Law & Motion. All questions regarding the calendars should be directed to the Clerk of Court office at (406) 258-4780.   

 

Mon, Arraignment Court (Hon. Jason Marks Presiding)

  Zoom virtual sessions

 Dept. 1 – Hon. Leslie Halligan (Wed L&M)

For all hearings/conferences in Dept. 1, we will continue to use Zoom virtual sessions, although personal appearances are preferred. Unless otherwise Ordered:

  1. Criminal defendants must personally appear for change of plea and sentencings hearings.
  2. Criminal defendants must personally appear for all other hearings/conferences unless they will waive personal attendance and agree to a Zoom Zoom appearance; or
  3. Fact and expert witnesses must personally appear where credibility may be an issue.

 Dept. 2 – Hon. Robert L. Deschamps, III (Tue L&M)

For all hearings/conferences in Dept. 1, we will continue to use Zoom virtual sessions, although personal appearances are preferred. Unless otherwise Ordered:

  1. Criminal defendants must personally appear for change of plea and sentencings hearings.
  2. Criminal defendants must personally appear for all other hearings/conferences unless they will waive personal attendance and agree to a Zoom Zoom appearance; or
  3. Fact and expert witnesses must personally appear where credibility may be an issue.

 Dept. 3 – Hon. John W. Larson (Thu. Law & Motion) 

For all hearings/conferences in Dept. 3, we will continue to use Zoom virtual sessions unless:

  1. Otherwise ordered.
  2. For Sentencings (where criminal defendant does not waive personal attendance).
  3. For other criminal matters where the Defendant will not waive personal attendance [i.e. agree to appear by audio/visual means (Zoom)].
  4. As requested by the parties for good cause showing.

 Dept. 4 – Hon. Jason Marks (Tue. Law & Motion)

For all hearings/conferences in Dept. 4, we will continue to use Zoom virtual sessions, although personal appearances are  preferred. Unless otherwise Ordered:

  1. Criminal defendants must personally appear for change of plea and sentencings hearings.
  2. Criminal defendants must personally appear for all other hearings/conferences unless they will waive personal attendance and agree to a Zoom appearance; or
  3. Fact and expert witnesses must personally appear where credibility may be an issue.

 Dept. 5 – Hon. Shane A. Vannatta (Thu. Law & Motion)

For all hearings/conferences in Dept. 5, we will continue to use Zoom virtual sessions, although personal appearances are preferred. Unless otherwise Ordered:

  1. Criminal defendants must personally appear for change of plea and sentencings hearings.
  2. Criminal defendants must personally appear for all other hearings/conferences unless they will waive personal attendance and agree to a Zoom appearance; or
  3. Fact and expert witnesses must personally appear where credibility may be an issue.
