Use the page layout diagram below to take a tour of the components of Missoula County's home page and use features.

Usage

  1. Site-wide Alert System
    The site-wide alert system is used to inform site visitors of important or even critical information, such as air quality alerts, or scheduled system maintenance.
  2. Top Site Navigation
    This navigation bar contains links to Missoula County information, including Frequently Asked Questions, eNotifications (how to sign up for electronic notifications), calendar events, information about Missoula County, and contact information. Topics like FAQs and calendar events can be filtered by category and/or department.
  3. Main Site Navigation
    Missoula County's website content is divided into logical divisions based on service and/or function. For example, if you need to find out how to pay your property taxes, you would look under the "I Want to..." menu and locate the Pay option and select Property Taxes.
  4. Photo Credit Button
    This button reveals the name of the individual who took the photograph showcased on the County website.
  5. Main Website Search and Hot Searches
    Entering search strings into this box will yield results for the current website only. Hot searches are the most commonly searched topics on this website.  
  6. County Events
    This tab will show a partial list of Calendar events for Missoula County. For a full Calendar of events, follow the link on the Top Navigation Bar.
  7. Meetings
    A partial list of meetings scheduled throughout Missoula County. These are also Calendar events.
  8. Quick Access Buttons
    These buttons found only on the main home page provide quick and easy access to information on Elected Officials, the County Blog, how to sign up for eNotifications, public meetings and more.
  9. Footer Navigation
    This site navigation is another repeating menu found at the bottom of every page of the website. This navigation also provides links to Accessibility information, the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
  10. Site Copyright and Vendor Credit
    This section of the page contains copyright information, the name of the vendor who created the website and a link to their own website.
  11. Social Media Buttons
    There are quick buttons linking to Facebook, Twitter, and Blog social media sites for Missoula County.
