The Missoula County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Squad is providing assistance to the Ravalli County Sheriff's Office in hopes to identify unidentified remains recovered in Bitterroot National Forest on July 8, 2010. The remains were located near St Mary’s Peak (closest town Stevensville, Montana).

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Squad is working on a case with the Ravalli County Sheriff's Office. Unidentified human remains were recovered off of the Nez Perce Road (West Fork Area) on May 11, 2007. The remains had camping gear and is believed to be and an adult male, White/Caucasian, age range is 35-60 years of age, approximately 5'8", and estimated year of death is 2006-2007.
